Children and Youth

Teaching children and youth how to develop healthy life skills develops Samaritan leaders for the future of Ukraine. Loving God, self, and others is the foundation of Samaritan Ministries’ outreach to youth.

DEVELOPING LIFE LONG SKILLS

This program provides the foundation for loving God, self, and others. Building social and emotional skills with fourth graders in Pulyny is taught weekly by Nadiya Siryk and Yana Voznyuk. Empathy, dealing with feelings, anger management, problem solving and developing listening skills are explored. Students enthusiastically enter into discussions, role playing, skits, and other learning activities.

SUMMER CAMPS

Camps for children are exciting, fun and learning experiences for kids who have little to do during the summer months. Kids learn about God, their environment, and develop responsibility and respect for one another while having fun.

DISCOVERING GIFTS & ABILITIES

Through art and other creative activities students express themselves as they explore their God given gifts. Teens explore their identity as they explore the question, Who am I? in relation to others and God. This is critical to developing a Samaritan lifestyle.

YOUTH REACHING OUT TO THE ELDERLY

Serving others in their community brings awareness and empathy for the plight of many elderly people. A giving spirit becomes a natural outcome of these experiences.

Community Pride Pick Up Trash

COMMUNITY PRIDE

Youth learning responsibility for their environment becomes practical when picking up the trash around the town.

GROWING IN THEIR WALK WITH GOD

Teens explore their identity as they explore the question, Who am I? in relation to others and God. This is critical to developing a Samaritan lifestyle.

VOLUNTEERING

Twenty-five youth trained to volunteer at the kids’ camp and the lavender festival doing everything from leading activities to cleaning up. Volunteerism was unknown in Puliny before Nadiya Siryk began teaching and mentoring teens. Self-giving love is being exemplified by these teens.
